Palin: GOP ticket was too ‘status quo’

WOW, a big shot at Bush and McCain!

Politico-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Sunday that she and running mate John McCain lost because the Republican ticket “represented too much of the status quo.”

In an interview with the Anchorage Daily News posted on the paper’s site Monday morning, Palin pointed a finger at the Bush administration for souring the GOP brand, adding that it was “amazing” that the McCain campaign did as well as it did.

“I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration?” Palin said.

    Duh!

I agree with her. I find her refreshing but could not vote for her because of McCain. Voters were able to overlook Rev. Wright, Ayers and a whole host of serious character and association flaws associated with Obama, probably because of the damage done by Bush. If McCain vowed to re-negotiate fair trade agreements, secure American jobs, end tying the hands of our military in fighting in Iraq and Afganistan, made drug and food safety a priority, and deport illegals, I think they would have won by a landslide. Bush has been very shortsighted in his policies, and made a few people very rich, but overall trashed our country’s future for our children and grandchildren.

Can we set an official date sometime in 2009 where all the crybaby whinners must stop blaming Bush for their own failures in life?

I suppose that when the pain goes away bb, then people will stop whinning.

We’ve still got a lot of “Bush” pain left to go.

I know that you’re desperate to separate yourself from the mess that your boy created and have it all behind you, but none of you get off that easy.

GaPatriot, I think you’re completely wrong. There is NO way McCain could have won; it’s called guilt by association.

Let’s stop blaming Dubious for the past eight years when we have a time machine that will permit us to erase the horrors of his presidency forever.

Until then, the smart thing to do is never forget.

    CM,

I regret nothing…I supported Bush and still think he did a decent job under the circumstances.

We do agree on McCain having no chance to win, but differ on the reason. Had the GOP put up Romney, Huckabee or some other conservative, we would have won. McCain had no chance because when he says he will cross the aisle to work with the other party, that means he is offering to work with the GOP.

After watching two hours of Greta’s interview with Sarah Palin, she is anything but dumb. Her outlook is based upon common sense, something severely lacking in today’s political environment.

Greta’s interview proves just how bad McCain’s handlers messed up. Palin should have been introduced from her kitchen in Alaska as the VP nominee. She will be a force going forward.
