Our American culture excels at consuming resources. We’re also quite good at organizing military/industrial activity. The traditional Aborigine’s on the other hand are quite adept at living a life that has a low-impact on the planet and leaves the earth in good shape for the next generation.

Which is better depends on your definition of “better”.

Exactly. Not the race, and several are very “culturally advanced,” successful, etc. but they assimilated into another culture. Not the same in all things, but their ability to contribute to the overall well-being of mankind improved as they changed cultures and when they changed and assimilated into another culture and what the environment and nutrition was during their formative years.

May I say I wholeheartedly agree with the first sentence Jan Paul wrote! That is my credo also and I define it as my “micro” approach to people.

But where Jan Paul and I have a major disagreement is his second sentence. On a “macro” basis, the various groupings of people do differ, and the differences can be quite significant. These differences help explain why some peoples prosper and advance in technologically superior ways and some peoples still eke out livings on the the land as nomads. IQ does matter and helps determine superior cultures. Perhaps the Australian Aborigine has developed some physical senses that are beyond the Western Man, but all and all, the Aborigine’s culture is inferior. Again, all this on a macro basis. It matters on a macro basis. It determines the success of a nation. Read the article if you want a more accurate view of race and intelligence. It is not cut and dried as some try to make it. I have worked with and lived around too many very intelligent people of all races to jump to conclusions that their race is more important than culture and the things they were exposed to, including nutrition, when growing up.

I can “be biased,” toward a person of my own race for being “different” just as much as I can a person of another race or as “acceptable,” of a person of another race just as much as one of my own.

However, regarding IQ, maybe that is why I don’t see that as an issue because I go by what a person accomplishes in life, does for others, his value to co-workers and the company and the community, etc. What somebody does on a test doesn’t mean much in the long run. It is what they do for the society they live in.

I go by what the individual does and not by his race or what others of his race do or don’t do. Race is just not important but, what people do and don’t do is important.

And thanks for your comments in post #43. I really can’t figure out folks like sgt mac, having served in the military. You probably have seen where active military is more supportive of Ron Paul than any of the other Republicans.
