Jan Paul,
I'm reading your post #49 and trying to understand it. The Aborigine surely can't be considered on the same plane as the Western Man. What sets man apart from the rest of the animals is the brain power. Dogs run faster than man. Fish swim better. Birds can fly, man can't. But man has the mind with its capabilities. And when you look at the races of man, some races have more "brainpower" than others, though that's not the entire picture. But the Aborigine is inferior to Western man. It's clear. And conclusions can be drawn, in general, with exceptions, among the races. And on a macro level, these differences have consequences for the society at large!

Not a sign of intelligence. You probably laugh and snicker at retarded people too, huh?

<i>"but all and all, the Aborigine’s culture is inferior</i>"

It aint over yet boys.

Wait until we've used all the fossil fuels available to us. Then you can brag about one culture being better than the other. Different cultures are good at different things.

Our American culture excels at consuming resources. We're also quite good at organizing military/industrial activity. The traditional Aborigine's on the other hand are quite adept at living a life that has a low-impact on the planet and leaves the earth in good shape for the next generation.

Which is better depends on your definition of "better".

PMS Menace

Keep yammering. You haven't got enough sense to come in out of the rain. You haven't got the nerve to post under a real name, but you sure do hide well.

You said:

"bb and SgtLOL’s comments would be funny if they weren’t such a sad commentary on the citizens of this nation."

Coming from someone with your limited intellect, I'll take that as a compliment. I think I can speak for bart when I say the state of the Nation is far better than you doom and gloomers would like. You're so full of Bush Derangement Syndrome you can't possibly consider anything other than your leftist rhetoric.

You're typical of the left-wing bomb throwers - all talk and no answers to anything.

Keep it up PMS. It's fun reading your brainless rantings.

==================

Exactly. Not the race, and several are very "culturally advanced," successful, etc. but they assimilated into another culture. Not the same in all things, but their ability to contribute to the overall well-being of mankind improved as they changed cultures and when they changed and assimilated into another culture and what the environment and nutrition was during their formative years.

Jan Paul closes his post #47 with the following:
"I go by what the individual does and not by his race or what others of his race do or don’t do. Race is just not important but, what people do and don’t do is important."

May I say I wholeheartedly agree with the first sentence Jan Paul wrote! That is my credo also and I define it as my "micro" approach to people.

But where Jan Paul and I have a major disagreement is his second sentence. On a "macro" basis, the various groupings of people do differ, and the differences can be quite significant. These differences help explain why some peoples prosper and advance in technologically superior ways and some peoples still eke out livings on the the land as nomads. IQ does matter and helps determine superior cultures. Perhaps the Australian Aborigine has developed some physical senses that are beyond the Western Man, but all and all, the Aborigine's culture is inferior. Again, all this on a macro basis. It matters on a macro basis. It determines the success of a nation. And as "multiculturalism" overwhelms the U.S., we will balkanize and withdraw unto ourselves as a book described in "Bowling Alone". And when we withdraw to ourselves, we are no longer unified and not stronger than the sum of our parts. We will wither away.

I also am "into race."
quote:
IQ and race

The three great strategies for obscuring an issue are to introduce irrelevancies, to arouse prejudice, and to excite ridicule.... ---Bergen Evans, The Natural History of Nonsense

"IQ" stands for "intelligence quotient." A person's IQ is supposed to be a measure of that person's intelligence: the higher the IQ number, the greater the intelligence. This is inaccurate, however, since it assumes that there is only one kind of intelligence. Most people recognize that there are some people with fantastic memories, some with mathematical minds, some with musical genius, some with mechanical expertise, some with good vocabularies, some good at seeing analogies, some good at synthesizing, some at unifying, etc. Some people excel at more than one of these behaviors. It would be more accurate to speak of human intelligences than of intelligence. An IQ test, therefore, should be considered a measure of some kinds of intelligence, but not all. The most accurate claim one can make about an IQ test is that it measures IQ.

The research on IQ and race by Arthur Jensen, William Shockley, Herrnstein and Murray (The Bell Curve) and others have not found any significant correlations between race and intelligence. They have found correlations between race and IQ, which has been used to support the notion that some races are intellectually inferior to others.
<a href="http://skepdic.com/iqrace.html" rel="nofollow">Source</a>

Read the article if you want a more accurate view of race and intelligence. It is not cut and dried as some try to make it. I have worked with and lived around too many very intelligent people of all races to jump to conclusions that their race is more important than culture and the things they were exposed to, including nutrition, when growing up.

I can "be biased," toward a person of my own race for being "different" just as much as I can a person of another race or as "acceptable," of a person of another race just as much as one of my own.

However, regarding IQ, maybe that is why I don't see that as an issue because I go by what a person accomplishes in life, does for others, his value to co-workers and the company and the community, etc. What somebody does on a test doesn't mean much in the long run. It is what they do for the society they live in.

captain_menace,
Just called Blockbuster and they will hold a copy for my wife and I to watch tonight!

Thanks for the referral.

And thanks for your comments in post #43. I really can't figure out folks like sgt mac, having served in the military. You probably have seen where active military is more supportive of Ron Paul than any of the other Republicans.

And please read "Day of Reckoning". I probably sound like a broken record, but it is one well written and researched book! I can't recommend it enough.
