"This fiscal conservative supports the guy who is staking his entire candidacy on Florida."

All it takes is a little cash and some contacts for a GOP candidate to "win" in Florida. Your man may have a chance.

Fiscal liberals .. LOL! That would be you John...still waiting for your answer -- how will you pay for a 2000 mile border fence at a cost of at least $10M per mile?

Ah, this is the same old story.

Kinda reminds me of the zinger Bush pulled on McCain in 2000... "he's got a BLACK baby!"

The politics of deception is used by both parties. Bill Clinton seems especially smarmy these days. Not very presidential.

Racial gap between Clinton, Obama widens

THEHILL-The racial gap between the top Democratic presidential candidates appears to be widening, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

The results of the survey, released Monday, show that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) has the support of only 16 percent of black voters, while 66 percent back Sen. Barack Obama

So you're saying Obama/Webb brings the dems together?

I hope that is the ticket the GOP faces in November...it will be a landslide not seen since Reagan took 49 states.

The ironic thing about this topic is how the MSM has constantly pointed to the GOP as the split party -- ficons v. socons. Yet here we have the libs split along racial and gender lines, something that will not be rectified quickly.

Bart

I have been very clear that I disagree with Obama on many issues but I do respect him for keeping the campaign on issues. Also he has not used race only his ideas and qualifications. I cannot understand how a Democrat could vote for Hillary over Obama. Also if Obama had Webb on the ticket it would be a strong.

I also think on the Republican side John McCain/Huckabee ticket would have the best chance to win if they could mend fences with the Paul supporters.

This is not an endorsement only my opinion on who would be the strongest tickets.

Obama camp slams Clintons over drugs talk

Barack Obama’s campaign has dismissed as not believable a prominent Hillary Rodham Clinton backer’s “tortured explanation” for seeming to inject Obama’s youthful drug use into the 2008 presidential campaign, and called it “troubling” that Clinton has not done more to distance herself from the remark.

Former President Bill Clinton was drawn into the controversy on Monday in appearances on black radio talk shows. He told one host, Roland Martin, that impolitic remarks by supporters sometimes “just happen” in politics and said, “I think it's important not to overreact to them.”

Obama has admitted in his memoir to using drugs as a young man, and Hillary Clinton has said personal attacks using that information are off-limits. Except they keep coming, in what are now at least three direct or indirect drug references from top Clinton surrogates in recent weeks.

It happened again Sunday, at a Clinton campaign event before the senator went onstage.
