Clinton Camp Says Obama Is Now “The Black Candidate”

WOW Clinton has lost any dignity at this point!

HP-Barack Obama routed Hillary Rodham Clinton in the racially charged South Carolina primary Saturday night, regaining campaign momentum in the prelude to a Feb. 5 coast-to-coast competition for more than 1,600 Democratic National Convention delegates….

…Clinton campaign strategists denied any intentional effort to stir the racial debate. But they said they believe the fallout has had the effect of branding Obama as “the black candidate,” a tag that could hurt him outside the South.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton compared Obama’s win in South Carolina to Rev. Jesse Jackson’s two South Carolina victories during the eighties. Watch the video, and Obama’s response this morning on ABC’s This Week:

    John,
You know darn well all the black voters know that Obama is black, and they voted accordingly (for Obama by 80%). It would be an injustice if some uninformed white did not have the same information.

The PC police are doing everything possible to remove “race” as a consideration by white people! But again, all the non-whites are well aware and vote for their group!

It is an age issue not a race issue.

Obama won 52 percent of the non-black vote under 30. Among the over-60s, he won a mere 15 percent of the non-black vote.

  3. Hugh says:

    John,
You really try hard to claim “race” does not have a bearing on most topics. Yes, in this particular instance, younger whites (and I talked about this on another thread) voted for Obama. But younger blacks voted for Obama at the 80% rate! And there is more to the story, and the partial American Renaissance article which I posted goes into this in greater detail. On balance, the situation is not as rosy as the Multiculturalists would have us believe. Human nature does take over and as the young whites experience the world a bit and grow up, they come around! Nothing like a dose of reality when crime statistics are examined and we find it is essentially “open season” on us, with the media and police running interference for the perps (non-whites substantially) who rape and kill us!

    Hugh,

Even you must realize that racists are a very, very tiny minority.

Obama has not used the race card to get votes bottom line. I may not agree with Obama on issues like immigration but I respect him for making this about issues not race!

Bill and Hillary could learn some about having class from Obama!

  6. JohnKonop says:

Could it be that Black Democrats voted for the best candidate? Obama never played the race card in fact he message was opposite. Edwards used the two Americas sales pitch and got the lowest support from blacks and had most of his support from whites with no college education.

Any rational person can see Obama has been a very positive force bringing people together. I agree with Bill Bennett, agree or not with Obama he does represent what is great about America. Obama has demonstrated you can run a contest on character and issues and if people agree they will support the person based on ideas not race.

The part I found most interesting is how Obama support is a combination of young and college educated people that includes all races.

I agree with Bill Bennett that if you agree or not with Obama on issues he has done a great job of moving beyond race with his message and bringing people together.

    John,
Your argument is very persuasive. And certainly, appealing to our better nature, we do all want to get along, and I’m being sincere.

But John, the Bill Bennett’s of the world (he fought California Proposition 187 tooth and nail) are propagandists for multiculturalism. Multiculturalism is unnatural. We all naturally cleave to our own kind and then live relatively happy lives. This PC crap has us all on pins and needles, afraid that something we might say could offend.

John, you need to spend some time absorbing what learned folks in my camp say and write on this subject. You appear to dwell only in the MSM world!

John, racial differences are a fact of life. Those differences do exist and have ramifications – certainly on a macro (group) level.

And to David, it’s very obvious we don’t agree on this subject, but it would be very helpful if you could give me some facts and discussion for your different opinion rather than throwing out that PC label, the “r” word. You are not at all convincing!

South Carolina’s real story; 73% in a dem primary voted against Hillary! That can’t be good for the “inevitable” nominee.

As for the black/white thing, Obama’s team absolutely talked about it prior to SC. Many Obama’ers talked about SC having a 50% black dem voting bloc.

Nobody is totally innocent in the dem race/gender war.
