Clinton offers universal health care plan
In concept I do support mandatory pay healthcare. The devil is always in the detail, but this looks like a step in the right direction. And as many of you know I have been a harsh critic of Hillary.Yet we must put politics aside and support candidates on ideas that move the country in the right direction.
This sounds a lot like Romney care. What is the difference?
Poilico-Mitt Romney, who as governor of Massachusetts signed into law a plan that similarly requires every individual to buy health insurance, complained that Clinton’s plan has too large a government role and encroaches on federalism.
MSN-’Individual mandate’ centerpiece requires all to have health insurance
For months, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has promised a plan to bring health care to every American.
She made good on that pledge Monday, unveiling a sweeping proposal requiring everyone to carry health insurance and offering federal subsidies to help reduce the cost of coverage.
With a price tag of about $110 billion per year, Clinton’s “American Health Choices Plan” represents her first major effort to achieve universal health coverage since 1994, when the plan she authored during her husband’s first term collapsed.

FROM POLITICO
…“It’s sort of funny to me that [Romney] would cast it as a big government solution, when it’s essentially what he enacted in Massachusetts,” Clinton’s Senate legislative director, Laurie Rubiner, said in response to Romney, adding that the Clinton plan is based on “choice and competition.” …
Your true liberal colors are showing John…how long before the Hillary ‘08 bumper sticker goes on your car over the Kucinich ‘08 bumper sticker?
Bart
What is the difference between the Hillary plan and Romney?
John,
I have no idea and could care less because I do not support either of them. Seems both rely upon government mandates to force private consumers to purchase health insurance…I like neither plan.

If Romney wins the nomination would vote for him?
