Georgia Young Republicans Take Stand Against Talk Radio Hosts

The Georgia Young Republicans have picked a fight with the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham over their denunciation of emerging Republican nominee John McCain.

“It’s hard enough to reunite after a tough primary process,” said Jason Shepherd, chairman of the Georgia Federation of Young Republican Clubs. “They talk into a microphone or TV camera with no consequences and it is us activists that must pay the price as we fight for our candidates precinct by precinct.”

A portion of the organisation’s resolution reads, “…be it resolved, this 5th Day of February, 2008, that the Georgia Federation of Young Republican Clubs strongly condemns and denounces the actions and speech over the past several weeks by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, and others for breeding contempt, disunity and hatred among the Republican Party in order to bolster their own careers.”

Listen to Morning in Atlanta during the 5am hour tomorrow when Ga Young Republican Chairman Jason Shepherd and Atlanta Young Republican President Cameron Fash talk about the issue with Joel Aaron on 920am WGKA.

This has got to be a sign of the apocalypse.

  2. Hugh says:

Appears the Georgia Young Republicans have no brains, or if physically some matter exists in their craniums, it’s non functioning. It’s not totally their fault, they have been brainwashed since birth and their parents forsake their parental obligation to teach their children well!

  3. Chris says:

Like Jon Stewart told the libs, “I’m not part of your cause, I’m in the entertainment biz.”

  4. Bill says:

There’s a lot of “frat types” in these young groups. They’ll do or say practically anything in order to fit in with the crowd.

  5. Bill says:

(I used to be in one)

  6. Hugh says:

Bill, at the Ron Paul election eve event downtown, I saw quite a few young folks. Guess the entire generation is not brain-dead!

  7. Bill says:

    No Hugh
But seems like the crowd with “political aspirations” is “on the plantation” so to speak. On the other hand frankly at some RP events I had some meaningful discussions with some “long hairs” and other folks.

  8. hoads says:

Chalk it up to idealism and naivete.

  9. Joe Oliva says:

Must be the newest generation of GOP elites coming along.
