Giuliani calls for increased military spending during South Florida stop

Can we afford Rudy?

SS-Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani said the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto during a campaign rally Thursday in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, underscored the need for increased military spending to continue fighting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“It’s a terrible, terrible tragedy,” Giuliani said, speaking to reporters today at Fort Lauderdale’s War Memorial Auditorium, where he held a roundtable discussion with veterans. “We have to work with Pakistan to make sure those people are brought to justice, and to make sure [Pakistan] is secure.”

Guiliani said Americans scored a huge victory after the Sept. 11 attacks with the defeat of the Taliban in Afghanistan, but he said the United States can not afford to let terrorists seize control of that country again.

Rudy in Kazakhstan? What’s the deal here, eh? This is all about “connections”. And Rudy is KINECTED! (If ya know what I mean) The sound bites emanating from their pie holes don’t mean squat.

Giuliani obviously hasn’t read Buchanan’s book, “Day of Reckoning”!

  3. GA Patriot Says:

Not reading his book did not stop Buchanan from endorsing Giuliani for President.

    GA Patriot,
Please provide evidence that Buchanan has endorsed Giuliani. I had not seen that!

I remembered reading it and was shocked at the time:

I was a Tom Tancredo supporter who is now looking for an island somewhere.

    GA Patriot,
I think you have your “PAT’s” mixed up. The link you gave me is Pat Robertson, not Pat Buchanan. A world of difference. Pat Robertson is part of THE LOBBY, and a NEO-CON. I would expect Robertson to endorse Guiliani.

If you want a true conservative, patriotic American, check out Dr. Ron Paul. He’s the only one!

    GA Patriot,
I liked Tancredo a lot. He’s the best on the “immigration” issue. He does have his blind spots, however, as he supported the Iraq War and bends over backwards to not offend The Lobby. That’s why I like Dr. Ron Paul. He is true to the U.S. and its Constitution.

My dream ticket would be Dr. Paul, President, and Tom Tancredo, V.P., with Tancredo given full authority to fix the grave “immigration” issues.

Confusing your “Pats” can be a serious mistake there’s no question. Personally I’ve always liked the “Buchanan” variety, although I don’t agree with him 100% nor should anybody.
