And what exactly happens to all the cash and drugs that get seized? Any person or group of people that would take a man's life savings without due process...well let's just say some folks haven't really thought this one through.

My objection to the war on drugs is first and foremost the unconstitutional asset siezure/forfeiture actions. Under these policies, being in possession of more than a couple hundred dollars cash automatically makes one a suspect who suddenly has no right to that money unless it's proven to be unrelated to drugs, placing the burden of proof entirely on the person who has it.

People lose their entire homes, cars, possessions and bank accounts over small quantities of pot or cocaine, despite them having well-paying jobs and careers that obviously funded the majority of their possessions. And they have absolutely no recourse by law to get any of it back.

I think some of these people who use "medical marijuana" are possibly just hooked on the GANJA!!! Although not "gung ho" about legalization of drugs, I'm becoming more of a Libertarian and have always been opposed to "war on" anything other than another country. And any expansion of the legality of the ole' "MJ" should be accompanied with some education. For example there's a correlation between the use of the ole "sticky icky" and "hormonal changes" (If ya know what I mean)

These are fairly old video's in the realm of political campaigns, but they also smack (pun intended) of thruth. It is so obvious the DEA, our government, has and continues to deny the existence of the positive proof of the medical efficacy of marijuana, while at the same time ignoring/denieing the existance of the reccomendations by their own people, most noteably Francis Young The Chief Administative Law Judge of the DEA, who in 1988 said, "Marijuana should be reclassified to a schedule 2 classification allowing for medical research to be done on the medical efficacy of marijuana, and that the laws against marijuana were not only outdated but just based on hollywood smoke and mirrors. He also said the use of marijuana was probably safer than most foods we eat." Why are our marijuana laws so wrong? Because our government's interest in prohibiting marijuana use was based on a racially political point of view from the beginning. Which was to drive back the mexicans who flooded the homogenous southwest in search of a better life after the 1910 Mexican Revolution bringing with them the use of marijuana, thank God. So, in effect, our government is and has been since the early '30's running ad campaigns to inform all the citizens of America of the results on the human condition from the effects of smoking marihuana. The only problem is the facts in these campaigns, such as the infamous "Reefer Madness," are totally 100% false, and without merit. To begin with our government, the U.S. that is, did not even want any involvement from the scientific or medical communities when they produced these film shorts, created these laws and manipulated public opinion about marijuana. They simply contacted a more reliabe source of information on the use of marijuana, Hollywood, and made their now infamous films such as "Reefer Madness." Because of the 100% false, totally ridiculous information, about the effects of marijuana reported in these films it quickly became apparent that the reasoning behind marijuana prohibition was not based on facts from the scientific and medical communities, those who are best qualified to make these decisions, but rather our government simply ran a "Marijuana Fear and Smear Campaign" out of Hollywood to scare people about the use of marijuana and form public opinion. The Feds have their own agenda as to why they want to keep mariujana in a schedule 1 catagory and continue its prohibition. I'm not exactly sure what it is but I do know it has nothing to do with the health and well being of its citizens, or else they would not restrict these citizens to only feircly addictive and fatal recreational drugs. Where is the sanity in that? Vote Ron Paul for President 2008 and return the U.S. to sanity.
