This is from TownHall and it is what I thought!

    Sounds Like a Swan Song

She didn’t cry, but Hillary Clinton ended the CNN debate tonight with emotional “no matter what happens” sort of talk.

From the transcript: “You know, the hits I’ve taken in my life are nothing compared to what goes on every single day in the lives of people across our country. And, I resolved at a very young age that I’d been blessed, and that I was called by my faith and my upbringing to do what I could to give others the same opportunities and blessings that I took for granted. That’s what gets me up in the morning. That’s what motivates me in this campaign and, and you know, no matter what happens in this contest, and I am honored, I am honored to be here with Barack Obama. I am absolutely honored. And you know, whatever happens, we’re going to be fine. You know, we have strong support from our families and our friends. I just hope we’ll be able to say the same thing about the American people, and that’s what this election should be about.”

Did you notice how everything Hillary said was about her? Almost every sentence had an “I” in it. Maybe she’s trying to be the face of this self-centered, over-dramatic, victim culture that is growing.

  3. Jan Paul says:

I think she is starting to believe she will lose or at least may lose. Her last couple of speeches seemed to lack the energy she previously had early in the campaign.

    Aubrey

    Good point!

  5. bb says:

Hillary’s Communications Dir. Howard Wolfson would not fully commit to staying in the race all the way to Denver this morning on MSNBC.

Hillary and Rudy’s presidential bids will go down as two of the biggest political failures in American history.

    Officer Killed Escorting Clinton

DALLAS — A police motorcycle officer died after a crash while escorting Hillary Rodham Clinton’s motorcade to a campaign rally.

“I have just learned of the death of a Dallas policer officer in a devastating accident that occurred as the motorcycle officers were leading our cars to this site,” Clinton told reporters at a Dallas rally. “We are just heartsick over this loss of life in the line of duty.”

Clinton said she planned to call the officer’s family to express condolences, as well as the police chief.

“This reminds us once again what the men and women in law enforcement do every single day,” Clinton said. “It is important that we respect and appreciate their service. I certainly am grateful for all they do for me and, more importantly, they do for the citizens of cities like Dallas and across the country. I just want to express my deepest condolences to the family and the Dallas police department for this tragic, tragic accident.”

Dallas police spokesman Sgt. Gil Cerda said he had no details on the crash, which happened shortly after 9 a.m.

I agree, why do you think Rudy and Hillary fell off the deep end?

  8. bb says:

    John,

Bad advice, bad message, bad presentation.

Both had more money than sense and each thought they were the inevitable nominees. Thus they did not have that overwhelming motivation to pound the pavement until it became too late.

  9. lance sjogren says:

Obama is completely outwitting Clinton in this campaign.

Her chances aren’t over, but she needs a surge in her direction in order to have a chance, and I don’t see where such a surge is going to come from.

It’s not checkmate yet, but it’s getting close.

  10. JohnKonop says:

    Lance

    All god points!

  11. JohnKonop says:

    Bart

    I agree

  12. Jeanie says:

Oh how my Hillary hate grows. What I found interesting is that CNN deleted the boos when they replayed Sen. Clinton’s xerox remark. I was hoping someone would post the original version and not the cleaned CNN version.

The closing line that Hillary got a standing ovation for was actually taken from one two politicians. Part of it was from Sen. Edwards’ stump speech. I don’t recall the name of the other politician.

  13. bb says:

    Good points Lance.

Obama tapped into a voting bloc that the GOP has especially ignored for years…18-34 age group. Because folks in that age group seldom voted while others came out en masse, both parties went after the low hanging fruit…Obama’s people went after these voters and they are a big part of the massive turnout during the primary season.

    Jeanie

    Thanks for the information!

  15. David O'Rear says:

Funny how some media report that there were “groans” and others say “booed.” I guess it depends on who you like, eh?

    .

Did the Dallas police officer’s name go onto that list of people the Clintons allegedly killed?

    = = = = =

Sen. Clinton’s campaign is all but over. Even if she wins Texas and Ohio, it will be a very tough battle for the nomination, leaving her and the party weak.

    Time to bow out.

  16. JohnKonop says:

    David

Why did you support Hillary over Obama?

  17. Aubrey says:

Likeability has got to be the issue with voters. Anyone with an ear can hear Hillary’s b.s. It’s obvious and clear in everything she says. Not only that, but her voice is the kind that sends children screaming into the forrests, never to return. Could you imagine having her for a mother and being nagged by that voice!?!

Now look at Obama. He doesn’t look like a plastic surgeon’s mistake when he smiles, for one. When he speaks (he says “uh” way to much, though) he says as little as Hillary but it isn’t offensive. His rhetoric is just oxymoronic, not poor political speech like Hillary’s. He also comes across as a gentleman.

Politics aside, it will be easier for dems to vote for Obama.

  18. David O'Rear says:

    Mr Konop,

Competence and experience over enthusiasm and style.

  19. JohnKonop says:

    David

    What Competence and experience?
