Hillary: Forget the Voters?

Hillary, “superdelegates should exercise their independent judgment, giving due consideration to their relationship with a candidate”.

    Very interesting video.

This goes back to the “elite” knowing “better” than the voters what is “best” for America.

However, you have to also ask, “What if the elites view of what is best fits their own agenda, and not what is best for the nation.”

Suppose both the people and the Elite are wrong? Which is best?

    Quote from Thomas Jefferson

he will of the majority, the Natural law of every society, is the only sure guardian of the rights of man. Perhaps even this my sometimes err. But it’s errors are honest, solitary and short-lived. — Let us then, my dear friends, for ever bow down to the general reason of the society. We are safe with that, even in it’s deviations, for it soon returns again to the right way. These are lessons we have learnt together. We have prospered in their practice, and the liberality with which you are pleased to approve my attachment to the general rights of mankind assures me we are still together in these it’s kindred sentiments.

Note: He admits the majority can error. Also, he said this at a time when the nation wasn’t a democracy at the federal level and what the majority did in one state didn’t drag the whole nation down if they were wrong.

Who do you trust? The elite who have the “personal relationships” Hillary mentions” to decide who is best or the “people” in the majority who are also wrong at times? Or, should you trust the principles of freedom we established, a Republic of democracies, and a sound monetary system instead of what we have and what we have become?
