McCain: The Miss Teen South Carolina Of Economics

This would be funny if for the fact McCain could be President!

    Truly sad that this man is going to be the GOP candidate. Gee, we can vote for the “lesser of two evils” If you are liberal or conservative you have to choose between two candidates of which neither is good for America.

    We now have three members of Congress running for President. So, don’t expect too much regardless of which one wins.

    I was just listening to the Asian news and they were covering the rise in the Chinese currency to the dollar.

    As you know, the economists said they were surprised at the increased prices of imports from China the other day. It was causing inflation to be higher than expected. Since I check the price of the Yuan to the dollar daily, I wasn’t surprised nor were many economists who study trends going on in the world. The last 3 months alone has seen an almost 4% rise in the Yuan.

    On the news tonight they said the Chinese government expects to raise it another 7% this year. That means that in a little over a year we could see over a 10% rise in import prices of things not made here any more.

    Remember we are demanding that China raise its currency. While they aren’t doing it because we are demanding it but because it makes good economic sense for them, it still will affect us and the prices we pay.

    Adjusted for inflation, the wages of Americans have been stagnant
    quote;
    Except for the late 1990s, pay has been stagnant for more than a generation, barely keeping pace with inflation. In 1973, the median male worker earned $16.88 an hour, adjusted for inflation. In 2007, he earned $16.85.
    Financial Armageddon

    Yet, the GOP selects McCain to lead us? That is why I believe the GOP has no intention of winning this fall. McCain is the designated loser and was chosen as the most likely to lose, not win.

    Then when things are really bad, the GOP is going to announce they have “reformed” and are going to “lead” the nation back to health again in 2012.
