My Apologies to John Konop and Control Congress

As some of you know, I have been out of town for the past several weeks. During this time, my teenage son has had access to my home computer. Until recently, I had no idea what he was doing. But Mr. Stoll brought it to my attention that someone had been using my computer to post hurtful, malicious, and racists trash on this site. Many of you have probably seen the trash put forth by a writer under the screen names “Pawn Shawn” and “Chris Dodd”. It was my son, Shawn Berry, a high-school senior who is responsible for it.
I will submit that I do not believe my son to truly be a racist at heart. Many of the things put on here, as described to me by Mr. Stoll and my son…were awful, but done in the spirit of childish prankery rather than racial bigotry. I also learned that my son had even went as far as using my login information to post under MY screen name as well. With this in mind, I would like to personally apologize to Sgt. Mac, John Konop, and BB. I think these three more than others have been the targets of his writings.
My son is due to arrive home from school any minute. Should Mr. Konop request it, I will make him submit a formal and public apology to the readers and writers of this site. Whether he formally apologizes or not, he and I have quite a bit to discuss, and I will most likely use the largest hickory stick I can find through which to get my point across to him. Once again, I apologize for his actions and take full responsiblity.
