NEOCONS LOVE HILLARY!
The NEOCON global elitist, who got us into Iraq, promoted a failed big government education policy (No Child Left Behind), Out of control spending, disastrous immigration and trade policy and now they support Hillary. Are we going to get stuck with a choice between two global elitist candidates?
ST-Since when is Hillary Clinton the idol of conservative pundits?
After Clinton delivered a foreign-policy haymaker to Barack Obama’s head during a Democratic presidential debate Tuesday:
• Fred Barnes of The Weekly Standard, a neoconservative weekly, wrote that she answered the now-famous “would-you-meet-with-despots” question “firmly and coolly.”
• Rich Lowry of National Review, a conservative weekly, gushed: “She excels. … Clinton has run a nearly flawless campaign and has done more than any other Democrat to show she’s ready to be president.”
• David Brooks, conservative columnist at The New York Times, wrote that Clinton “seems to offer the perfect combination of experience and change” and is changing perceptions in a way that may persuade voters to give her a second look.
• Charles Krauthammer, conservative columnist at The Washington Post, summed up the Clinton-Obama smackdown: “The grizzled veteran showed up the clueless rookie.”
All this from a crowd that has spent the better part of two decades demonizing Clinton and her husband, former President Clinton.
Great article and exposes the Neo-Cons and H.Clinton. But don’t get too excited about B. Obama. He’s an open borders zealot. See link below. Neither Clinton nor Obama are loyal to America, in my opinion. But that goes for most of the rest of the candidates, with the exception of Ron Paul, for certain. Maybe a few others.

All of the quoted “neocons” were speaking in the context of discussion about the YouTube dem debate. Is anybody other than John so ignorant as to imply Charles Krauthammer and Fred Barnes will suddenly shift allegiances and support Hillary.

ANSWER: If Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination, you would certainly see a mass defection of all the Neo-Cons to H. Clinton. But bb, that’s not an “ignorant” opinion, that’s a very knowledgeable opinion! So count me as one of the “informed” ones.
It is ignorant to think Ron Paul will win the nomination…all other projections based on this impossible premise is ill informed ignorance at its most hilarious level.
Read this article by Bruce Bartlet who makes it clear Hillary is the best candidate for their agenda! The manipulation is how NEOCONS spin Hillary policy as being conservative not NEOLIBERAL. Why do you think Wall Street money is being thrown at Clinton?
TH-On economics, it is reasonable to assume that Sen. Clinton’s policies would not be altogether different from Bill Clinton’s. This is not a bad thing. On trade, his record was outstanding and on the budget was far better than George W. Bush’s. While Clinton raised taxes in 1993, it should be remembered that he cut them in 1997, including a cut in the capital gains tax. On regulatory policy, Clinton was no worse than the current administration and probably better on net.
Democrats know all this, which is why our most liberal pundits, like Bob Kuttner, are attacking Sen. Clinton for being a clone of her husband on economics and attacking her support for “Rubinomics,” named after former Treasury Secretary Bob Rubin. Its essential elements are a commitment to deficit reduction and globalization—which are both anathema to the Democratic Party’s liberal base. It wants a hard-line against imports to save jobs and an expansive fiscal policy to pay for a wide range of new social programs.
At some point, politically sophisticated conservatives will have to recognize that no Republican can win in 2008 and that their only choice is to support the most conservative Democrat for the nomination. Call me crazy, but I think that person is Hillary Clinton.

Murdoch’s surprise decision to raise money for Clinton in July, on behalf of NEWS CORP., parent company of FOXNEWS and the NEW YORK POST, underlines a dramatic turn of relations between Murdoch and Clinton, who in 1998 coined the phrase “vast rightwing conspiracy” to denounce critics of her husband.
Some say the move by Murdoch reflects approval of her Senate career. Others note his record for picking future national leaders. Last century, he threw over the British conservatism he’d long supported to back longshot Tony Blair.

John, thanks for your comment in post #12. I think sgtmac and bb need to retake some basic reading courses. Perhaps they were out sick in the third grade. I wasn’t suggesting Ron Paul would win the nomination, in fact I placed no odds, one way or the other (though that is my most sincere hope if this Nation has a chance). I was merely stating “if” Ron Paul won, there would be a mass exodus of Neo-Cons to support H. Clinton. Maybe it’s the second grade bb and sgtmac missed.

I can’t believe the idea on a previous thread that some neocons are espousing which is that “let’s be nice to Hillary because she would make a weaker candidate than Obama”. What a croc of BS!! Unlike the RNC and the neocons, (and my fellow Hillary haters on the left) I don’t think it’s ever too early to expose her as the phony that she is. If Obama makes a weaker candidate it’s only because he’s not “locked in” the same way the Bushes and the Clintons are!! But in all honesty I think Obama would make a better President than Hillary. (and I think he could be neutralized with some of his more leftist ideas)
We’re talking about “the red carpet treatment” that the neocons are giving Hillary. Most people probably don’t even know that there was a man named John Spencer who ran against her as a Republican in New York. And he got no help from “conservative” talk radio either.
