Obama beats Hillary over head with Iraq

PART 2

POLITICO-
Hillary Clinton thought she had driven a stake through it, but it turns out to be the issue that will not die: She voted to authorize the Iraq war, she refuses to say it was a mistake and she refuses to apologize for it.

And Barack Obama continues to whack her for it.

Obama opposed the war early and was lucky enough to not yet be a senator when it first came up for a vote.

Again and again, he pressed this advantage Thursday night at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles in the first one-on-one debate between Obama and Clinton.

Obama exploits the issue in two ways: First, he says Clinton’s vote in favor of the war shows bad judgment.

Over the head? That must hurt. Did she get sand in her dress?

  2. captain_menace says:

Did she actually say she did “due diligence”?

  3. JohnKonop says:

The same “due diligence” Hillary did for Sam at Walmart!

  4. Aubrey says:

The fact that he was against and she was for the war is the only difference between them. Otherwise, you’re looking at the same, big-government socialism.

    “big-government socialism”

    Hmmm…

I’m trying hard to remember which administration launched this nation into stratospheric levels of debt.

    Hmmm…

I’m sure it will come to me soon.

  6. Jan Paul says:

Both parties are going to have to keep debt rising if they want to avoid a recession. The only way either party can control debt is to cut spending. Cutting spending causes recessions.

From 1970 on we have been on a treadmill that won’t let us off and in the last two decades it has been picking up speed. Bush happens to be at a point in our history that the Banking policies of the last two decades and more, are finally catching up with America.

The tech bubble happened even before Bush but, it was the biggest and most damaging and beginning of the huge federal efforts that would be required to minimize or avoid recessions. Thus, this “economic train wreck” was set in motion long before Bush ever took office.

That fact was known to the world and our enemies. They knew that anything that would increase military spending when coupled with trying to avoid recessions and keep entitlements with mandatory spending increases, would bankrupt this nation.

The war in Iraq to save the dollar from collapse hasn’t worked. Iran took up the mantle from Iraq and now others are talking about abandoning the dollar for oil sales. But, it did help spend us deeper into debt.

Neither party has the leadership to stop this and for almost 100 years, both parties have been doing the bidding of the same group of international elite.

The only difference has been in how they try to manipulate voters into re-electing them.

  7. Jan Paul says:

Hillary is dedicated to meeting the needs of the same people Bill was determined to help reach their goals. McCain is also dedicated to that same group.
