Palin rallies thousands of abortion opponents

Is she nuts?

Politico-Sarah Palin rallied thousands of abortion opponents Friday night with a a stark warning that the same philosophy that allows abortion rights could soon be invoked to allow the government to cut off health care for the elderly or children with special needs.

Speaking to a fund-raising banquet of Wisconsin Right to Life, the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee asserted that if policy-makers don’t believe a child in the womb is valuable, then “perhaps the same mind-set applies to other persons.”

“What may they feel about an elderly person who doesn’t have a whole lot of productive years left,” Palin asked an audience of about 5,000 who paid $30 each to hear her speak in an airplane hangar-like exhibition hall at the Wisconsin state fairgrounds just outside of Milwaukee. “In order to save government money, government health care has to be rationed… [so] than this elderly person that perhaps could be seen as costing taxpayers to pay for a non-productive life? Do you think our elderly will be first in line for limited health care?

Sounds to me like she just described John’s position on Medicare; give ‘em pain pills, let ‘em die, they cost too much.

Is she nuts…naw, but John Konop who is tied to dems on the health care front should seek professional help.

You are the biggest hypocrite I know. In one breath you are all over letting people die without enough money or insurance and than you support Palin wanting unlimited healthcare for all under Medicare!

  3. bb says:

You asked is Palin is nuts didn’t you? She described your position on Medicare so who is nuts?

My position are you on drugs?

BTW what do you Palin think about this?

Cancer Patient Faces End Of Insurance

….Sandra Ingram’s health insurance from her former employer will expire in July, reports Davenport, Iowa’s KWQC. She survived breast cancer, but found out months ago that her cancer came back, and has spread to her bones and liver. Come July, she is worried that she will be uninsurable; her cancer will be deemed a pre-existing condition. Ingram does not qualify for Medicare.

“We don’t have a limitless amount of resources,” said her husband, Jim. “We have what most people would have, a small nest egg and a home we are still purchasing.”

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati saved the home of Frank and Karen Jennings and has been helping other families stay out of foreclosure, reports Rock Armon of Akron, Ohio’s Beacon Journal. The bank’s Preserving the American Dream program gave the couple and their three children over $2,000 to put towards mortgage payments, and enrolled the couple in financial counseling courses. ”The financial aid was great, but the credit counseling classes…I can’t even measure how helpful that was,” said Frank, 38.

The high school sweethearts fell behind on their bills after a brief layoff last year, and appealed to the East Akron Neighborhood Development Corp, which has saved the homes of 42 local families. Dozens others have received free counseling, and learned to cut out little expenses — like morning coffee or chips with lunch — that can add up to hundreds of dollars over the year…..

Your position summed up by Palin:

“In order to save government money, government health care has to be rationed… [so] than this elderly person that perhaps could be seen as costing taxpayers to pay for a non-productive life?”

Why are you afraid to defend your position when Sarah Palin calls people like you out?

    Great example.

    1. Should taxpayers pay for her healthcare costs while they accumulate a nest egg and a home? Are both of them now rights?

    2. Why would anyone who has had cancer not at least have catastrophic healthcare coverage in case it recurs?

    3. If she has cancer that has spread to the liver and bone, she qualifies for disability – and, therefore, MEDICARE!!!

These are not sob stories, they are truth stretchers. Why should all taxpayers be burdened with socialized medicine due to examples of very poor planning, no real need, or just laziness to apply to the right agencies?
