“We have to be united”. Typical authoritarianism. These neocons will take as much power as we let ‘em, and then some. They’ve proven that. What a mess they’ve created. And that’s just a preview of what’s to come if we become “united” (under them of course) And p.s. this doesn’t follow any “Jesus formula” pertaining to politics that I’m aware of. But it might lead to the North American Union, the Amero and world government. So hey, it ain’t all bad.
It sure would be nice if Huckabee suggested applying some of his mother’s wisdom to our national budget problems.
Republicans have broken it, they should fix it.

Do I think we screwed up going to Iraq.??. Yes. No one has given a better reason for our being there but, maybe, there is another reason. I see it as a pincher’s movement on Iran. Afghanistan on one side and Iraq on the other. Or is that just simplistic hoping that there is a better reason.??.

A pincer movement usually refers to battlefield tactics. We’re engaged in a prolonged war with several fronts, and no clear strategy for winning on any of those fronts. A pincer movement doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t securely hold the area from which you launch your movement.
Honor? Hmmm… do any of our leaders in Washington have honor?
I’m with Paul on this one. A select few cooked up a half-baked plan to invade Iraq. The sleeping majority bit the hook and the rest is history. Time to fix the mistake. There was no honor going in, there will be no honor as we exit. Call it what it is… “saving face”.

we are in Iraq for many reasons, but I think #1 is that we the people would not have bought a war wiht Iran in’02, so W didn’t try to sell it. he sold us what we would buy at that time. have you noticed what he is selling lately?
