    Pharmaceuticals are leaving the U.S. slowly. We now import our two leading cholesterol drugs Zucor and Lipitor from Ireland who has higher wages and a tax rate 30 pts lower than ours on corporate income (12.5%)

    Currently thirteen (13) of the top fifteen (15) companies in the world have substantial operations in Ireland. In total there are eighty-three (83) facilities employing more than 17,000 people in Ireland.

    6 out of 10 and 12 out of 25 of the world’s top selling drugs are produced in Ireland including Lipitor and Zocor. Products are manufactured for global markets.

    The Pharmaceutical cluster in Ireland is supported by a sophisticated infrastructure of serviced sites, public utilities as well as specialist support companies and services.

    Many of the pharmaceutical companies in Ireland have established multiple activities in Ireland, including

    * Fermentation e.g. Schering-Plough, Wyeth

    We can either compete or get out of the way because the world isn’t waiting for us anymore. We can continue to have government and corporations in bed with each other or have both sever the people.

    Ireland’s reforms raised worker’s wages from 1/2 our to $1.50 higher and took debt from 120% of GDP down to 21% all while taking jobs from the U.S. like those in pharmaceuticals. 90% of all computers sold in Europe come from Ireland. Where do most we buy come from?
