Huh — First paragraph of story answers the question — “Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson are tied for the lead in South Carolina’s Republican Presidential Primary.”
How do you interpret that to mean a guy who does not even top 10% after spending millions should be considered the frontrunner?

What does Rudy have to do with John proclaiming Ron Paul the “frontrunner” despite his pitiful standing in the poll? Stop trying to divert from the fact that Ron Paul has spent millions yet cannot get above 10% in any poll or any state.

Explain how you came up with Paul as the “frontrunner” despite his pitiful poll numbers placing out of the top 5.

Paul polling numbers:
Reuters/Zogby – 5% 11/17
FoxNews – 3% 11/14
Gallup – 5% 11/14
ARG – 4% 11/12
AP/Ipsos – doesn’t register 11/7 (or maybe he is part of 2% Other)
NBC/WSJ – 4% 11/5
CNN/ORC – 5% 11/4
Newsweek – 3% 11/1
Add all of them together and Paul doesn’t even reach 30%.
If there is a meaningful story from the polls, it is Huckabee’s rise in IA. Too bad for him that what little money he has will be squandered in one state.
Feb. 5 will be the deciding day for the GOP. Paul has nothing going in most of the states voting that day. The ride will end on Tsunami Tuesday.

Where did I declare Rudy the nominee? He definitely has the upper hand with Feb. 5 as his potential big day, but I can’t recall saying it is over.
No John, Paul is not on a roll, at least with GOPers.
He might be on a roll with crossovers attempting to disrupt the GOP nominating process as I have said all along. But as you can see from post 13 using real data, he tops out at 5% nationally even with all you dems jumping on board.
So who will you support when it comes down to Hillary v. Rudy, Mitt or Fred?

If Ron Paul were to drop out early (which I doubt) and we wind up in the “same boat together” (not knowing who to support) just keep in mind a quote from Ted Nugent (one of my favorite Rock stars) “If you ain’t making waves you ain’t paddling”.

Paul won’t drop out because he will probably raise enough money to make it all the way to the convention to setup a floor fight (even with no chance of knocking off whoever comes out on top during primaries).
As far as who to support, that won’t be an issue with me. Whichever candidate wins the GOP will get my full support over Hillary. Whether it be Rudy, Fred, Mitt or the resurgent John McCain, there is no doubt who would be a better leader for this country compared with any dem frontrunner.

If RP is doing so poorly in all the polls then why does he win every televised debate he is in? On Nov 28th he won the cnn/youtube debate with 74% of the viewers votes. Also consider the fact that he has raised more money for his campaign that all the other GOP candidates. That money is coming from somewhere! Over 37,000 people made donations to RP in one day. Quit letting the neo-con mainstream media pull the wool over your eyes. Wake up America!!! Ron Paul is the only candidate who is honest and knows what to do.
