Shocking Admission Of Lying By Government
Do you think the White House is sending a message to border guards not to do a good job? Do you think Congress should investigate why Homeland security would lie to Congress about this case?
FS-Under questioning by Rep. John Culberson, a Department of Homeland Security representative admitted that his department did NOT have evidence to back up a number of claims made to members of Congress last fall to bolster its case against imprisoned agents Ramos and Compean, including: that the agents “wanted to shoot a Mexican,” confessed to shooting an unarmed suspect, were belligerent to investigators, lied and submitted false reports, and stated during the investigation that the illegal alien did not pose a threat.
According to Culberson, “(DHS Inspector General) Richard Skinner admitted yesterday under oath that his top deputies gave members of Congress false information painting Border Patrol agents as rogue cops who were not in fear for their lives and who were ‘out to shoot Mexicans.”
Government lied to Congress to bolster its case
Basically, the government has admitted that its officials lied to Congress in an effort to bolster its case in the public against agents Ramos and Compean. These charges have caused many to question the validity of the agents’ claims that they are innocent and acted in response to an imminent threat from an illegal alien drug runner.
The truth is, Johnny Sutton and our govenrnment turned what is at most a procedural violation (punishable by at the most a few days unpaid leave) and made it into a witchhunt against our agents.
As Rep. Dana Rohrabacher said in a speech from the floor of the House on 2/7/07, “The initial decision to prosecue the two border patrol agents instead of the drug smugglers was indefensible, period. Sutton’s only defense… has been to lie and to demonize the two border patrol agents.”

All those involved in this prosecution (and it might include Gonzalez and Bush) need to go to jail for a long, long time!
Just like Nifong in the Duke non-rape case.
Here’s your president, not mine!

Here’s a good link with a very serious claim:

Since I’ve been heavy against the two border guards, I’d better get on the record.
I’ve searched the Inspector General website this morning to find hard copy of the testimony before Congress. And, I searched press releases.
Nothing as of the 7th of February.
If, and this is the big if no one wants to hear, false testimony was given in the trial and false evidence used in the trial, that would be grounds for a retrial.

Why do you trust the Bush Administration on this issue?
The Bush Administration?
Or, the Criminal Courts?
John,
When did you trust them?
When they lied or when they said they lied?
Or, did you merely trust a GOP Congressman?
Isn’t that ironic on a blog called, ControlCongress!
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend, John.
My best to your family, too.

Homeland Security reports to the White House !
BTW same to you this weekend!
Why would Homeland Security lie to Congress?
Wild guess: they were following the example of the White House?
And, we STILL don’t call it treason!
What type of security is Homeland security for? It’s not border security. It’s not Social Security. And it certainly isn’t security and prosperity.
Lots of people know what Michael Chertoff is all about. He’s about tackling women in airports, snooping, scaring and intimidating Americans. Heck he looks just like that guy Lennin.

I do believe Chertoff has dual citizenship. I truly question where his loyalties lie. And how can he hold this position with dual citizenship? Yes, David O’Rear, I smeal Treason!
[...] Kyle Sampson the former chief of staff(AG) testified before congress that Attorney General Gonzales fired the Federal Prosecutors because they where not tough enough on immigration policy. Sampson claimed it was White House policy to get tough on illegal immigrants. Yet he showed no proof and all we have to go on is President Bush’s performance of a blind eyed approach to enforce our immigration laws. Presidential candidate Tom Tancredo called for Gonzales to resign due to his lack of any enforcement of immigration laws and over aggressive prosecution of border agents. Does anyone believe this story? FOX-WASHINGTON — Presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo has joined the growing chorus of lawmakers calling for U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign — only not for the usual reason. [...]
