Split decisions set up GOP fight for Florida
Who will win Florida?
POLITICO– Needing to prove he can prevail in a conservative-dominated contest, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) came through here on Saturday. With wins now in New Hampshire and South Carolina and a second-place showing against Mitt Romney in Michigan, McCain has established himself as a top contender for the GOP nomination.
And he has also demonstrated, yet again, his resilience.

Huckabee Says Race ‘Far, Far From Over’
Fred Thompson will likely get out of the race this morning (website no longer comes up, supporters jumping ship en masse — got a press release from GA Senate Leader Eric Johnson yesterday that he switched his allegiance to Mitt Romney).
So now Huck has no more excuses…either win running on that liberal track record or go home.
FL sets up well for Mitt and Rudy. McCain is hanging around, but I believe will fade soon. Paul has zero chance (yet he supposedly raised another mil yesterday…where is all this money going and how can anybody who considers themselves to be fiscally responsible donate to a loser campaign…).
Bart
You should do a post if it happens today!
I don’t know whether this is true or not, but apparently Huck has Constitutional lawyers looking into the possibility of him picking Jesus as his running mate.
Fred’s site still works.
As I said in an earlier thread, McCain will struggle mightily in “Republican Only” primary states. I expect Romney to do much better and if Thompson is still around, I expect him to improve dramatically. Giuliani will also surprise, but I think the Huckster will drop like a lead balloon.
I just looked at the Thompson website. Bart, maybe you entered something wrong. It seems to be working fine.
Aubrey,
You are correct…I tried on another computer and it worked…must be something with my browser.
According to FoxNews, Fred also pulled out of the Thursday night debate from FL.
It’s only a matter of time unfortunately. He may stick around to mess with Huckabee since goober decided to blame Fred for his lackluster SC results. But he blew the chance to be the man.
