My reading list just got bigger. And of course I was a big “Buchanann for President” supporter. (yes Caroline I was pro-choice back then too)
Sorry, Bush is a conservative. He is backed by conservatives. Conservatives are still the ones who approve of his policy decisions.
Caroline, wrongoooo. Bush is not a conservative. He’s a neo-con. But yes, some poorly informed conservatives do support Bush.

If these folks are conservatives what the heck have they conserved? Certainly not our money or our Constitution. And Caroline f.y.i. some conservatives are of the “if it ain’t broke quit robbing it” variety. (Social Security-not that I’m a socialist or anything)

He’s called himself a conservative. Self described conservatives have called him a “great conservative”. If you guys have a problem with that you are going to have to take conservativism back from the people who own the trademark right now. And I do agree that the neocons own conservatism right now.

Any of you who are still a bit confused, just spell out the second half of “neocon” . . . con, as in “conservative.”
