Troops Like Obama and Hillary?
Are the troops right?
ABC’s Martha Raddatz asked American soldiers in Iraq what issues are most important to them when looking at the presidential candidates.
Though the military is not supposed to engage in partisan political activity, these soldiers spoke out about their personal endorsements, and their opinions are likely to matter. In 2004, 73 percent of the U.S. military voted for a presidential candidate, and officials believe it may be even higher this time around.
PFC Jeremy Slate said he supported Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., because of his stated intention to pull out of Iraq right away.
“That would be nice,” Slate said, “I’d like to be home, yea.”
SFC Patricia Keller also expressed support for Obama, citing his representation for change.
Spc. Patrick Nicholls from Eggawam, Mass., pointed out that many soldiers on the frontlines frequently think about their families back home.

Some of these video surveys can be a little “skewed” so to speak. Just like fishing shows there’s no telling how long it took to find these particular soldiers or what wound up on the cutting room floor. Some of us (including a large segment of our military forces) choose not to march along into this land of make believe.
Let’s assume, for thesake of argument, that these testimonies reflect these soldiers’ actual beliefs. Why type of soldiers are these? It makes a difference, believe me.

Raddatz representing the lib media asked 6 people their personal preference with a split among the three candidates. Do you really believe this lackluster report provides evidence of mass military support for B. Hussein Obama or HRC?

Take my ex-wife for example. She’s in the Active-Guard Reserve and has yet to be deployed…eventhough she has been given orders for deployment at least four times. She has been very crafty in finding excuses for not DOING HER JOB. The latest ploy that she has manuevered into is finding some poor dupe to impregnate her so that she’ll miss the next deployment scheduled for her unit in November.
By the way, she LOVES both Hillary and Obama.
